Are you ready to experience the thrill of conquering rugged terrain and exploring breathtaking vistas? In conjunction with our sister company, Tahoe Driving Academy, our off-road adventures offer a unique opportunity to discover the stunning beauty of the Sierra Nevada mountains in a way that few others get to experience.
Led by experienced and knowledgeable guides, we take you on a journey through the heart of the Sierra Nevada wilderness, where you'll encounter a variety of obstacles suited to your comfort level, and jaw-dropping scenery that will take your breath away.
For less experienced, we offer classes designed for beginner and intermediates looking to better understand the capabilities and features of your 4x4, how to navigate natural obstacles, and how to "spot" your driver through difficult sections. Naturally we ensure your safety and preservation of the environment.
For the experienced, we can lead you to trails less ventured and spotting when needed.
Meals are optional, and we do offer some fun Campsite Cooking classes.
While day trips are possible, the full experience is when you camp overnight to take advantage of pitch black skies dotted with billions of twinkling stars under campfire. Adventures include a moderate off-road trail including crossing streams and meadows, clothing optional hot tubbing, swimming, fishing with license, supervised target and skeet shooting, hiking, and relaxing under a large canopy with your feet in the water sipping on your favorite beverage.

Private Adventures
Most of our adventures are within the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains near Lake Tahoe, but we often venture out to other areas. We offer private, group, pre-arranged, and custom packages to suit your preferences. Most bring their own 4x4 vehicle, but we offer a lightly modified Jeep Unlimited Wrangler for those either needing a capable vehicle or those needing extra room for your guests.

-
Vehicle Information - 4WD, spare tire, and jack are mandatory for both the easy and moderate trails.
-
Easy Trail - Clearance should be at least 15" between the ground and the lowest point of the vehicle body (sides and bumpers. Axles and differentials are not as critical.) Tires should be all-terrain tread, if not, please contact us to discuss.
-
Moderate Trail - Clearance should be at least 18". Oil pan skid plate required with additional skid plates suggested. Low Gear highly suggested. We will discuss your vehicle beforehand.
-
-
Potential damage - There are several bushes lining the trail which can cause very light scratch marks on your vehicle. If you are concerned about "sage brush pin stripping", it is best to ride with us. Flat tires are rare, but do occur. A/T tires are highly suggested. Under carriage damage on the Easy Trail would occur due to improper driving skills. Moderate Trail will put a couple dents and scrapes on the undercarriage. The chances of roll over are minimal.
-
Weather - Average day temperature is 52° - 90° F. Nights average 28° - 45° F. Rain is rare but has occurred. It is best to check the weather forecast for Carson City, NV no more than 3-5 days in advance.
-
Cell Service - There is no cell service at or along the way.

Day Trip - Your own alcoholic beverages. Water shoes for crossing the rocky river. Hiking shoes, hat, sun tan lotion, sun glasses, camera, and beach towel. Folding chairs will be provided.
-
Overnight - In addition to the above, we request you bring your own sleeping bag and pillow, but if not, we have some to offer with interior body sheets for sanitary reasons. Tents are supplied at no extra charge. Since camping expectations vary widely, please provide a list of expected items to confirm we meet your expectations.
-
A flexible attitude as the itinerary may change due to weather, group consensus, and unexpected outside variables.
-
-
Accommodations - We are rural camping, with an emphasis on rural. Tents are the 7'x7'x4' tall dome style tents such as used by the Boy/Girl Scouts. Each tent can hold either 1 person or a couple sharing a queen mattress. We provide air mattresses that are a generous 8" tall. For groups preferring a taller more spacious tent., we have up to "10 man" tents that realistically house 4 adults comfortably with room to stand up.
-
Restrooms - These are not established campgrounds. There is no private bathroom so we provide a small porta potty that requires you to bury your discharge. We emphasize, this is rural camping and defines the difference between a crowded established campsite and a more secluded rustic adventure. I would suggest we have a discussion to ensure your expectations are realistic.
-
Physical condition - Unless you pan to hike, basic outdoor conditions are fine.
-
Children - All well-behaved children are welcome and children under 7 are at no charge.
-
Pets - Pets are not advised due to the bump road in and the potential for them to get lost. If you strongly prefer to bring your pet, let's discuss in advance.
-
Fishing - A California fishing license is required and obtaining one is the responsibility of fisherman. I am not a fisherman so I would not be a lot of help. Past guests have caught mostly Rainbow trout, German Brown, and small Brook trout. It is all Catch & Release.
-
Who is the leader - Johnny G is your adventure leader He has personally experienced each adventure unless otherwise noted. He will also be assuming the role of Chef Boyar G for your culinary delights.
